About Lucille Buergers
Lucille earned her undergraduate degree in social work from the University of Kansas and completed her Master's in Social Work at Adelphi University in 1978. Since then, she has built an extensive career as a clinical social worker, eventually serving as Clinical Director at a multi-service family agency. She later joined Eastern Suffolk BOCES, where she worked as a clinical supervisor and later as Program Administrator for the Employee Assistance and Student Assistance Programs. Following her retirement from BOCES, Lucille continued to contribute to the field by serving as a Liaison for social work interns at the Adelphi School of Social Work and later as the Town Social Worker for Shelter Island. With over 40 years of experience, she is excited to share her knowledge and expertise to support both the staff and clientele at Rena Ferguson, MD, PC.
